My Journey

Hi, I’m Daniela Salguero, 19, and the creator of Painted Persona. I was born in the United States and raised in a Guatemalan, Hispanic family, a background filled with culture, love, and tradition. Self expression wasn’t always easy in that environment, but instead of letting it silence me, it became one of my greatest strengths.

Makeup is the art form that allowed me to truly be myself. Through alternative style and creative beauty, I found a space where I could explore who I am without limits. I’m also a beginner in SFX makeup, teaching myself through trial, error, and a whole lot of curiosity. Every mistake becomes a lesson, every attempt gets better than the last, and the process is genuinely so much fun. Learning new techniques and pushing my creativity keeps me motivated every day.

Painted Persona is where I share that journey, my culture, my growth, my creativity, and the fearless self-expression that shapes who I’m becoming.
